John's mum Marj is unfortunately undergoing chemotherapy for endometrial and ovarian cancer. She's fighting hard and we're all confident of a full recovery from this tough old bird. But the treatment has taken her hair, so in solidarity John had his luscious locks shaved off, live on stage at the New Globe Theatre's Halloween show.
